NDTI Part of the Predator/Reaper Operations Team
NDTI is part of the URS Team providing operations and maintenance, design and development, and sustainment of the Unmanned Aircraft System Operations Center Support mission systems flying Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs), currently, but not limited to the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper. This system-of-systems provides critical Command and Control data, voice interconnectivity, and video relays to enable pilots and sensor operators to fly and control UASs worldwide. The Predator/Reaper airframes provide war fighters long endurance, real time reconnaissance and surveillance, and precision attack against fixed and time critical targets. UASOCS is comprised of both commercial-off-the-shelf equipment solutions and programs of record for interfacing and communicating between Ground Control Stations, Squadron Operations Centers, the Wing Operations Center, forward aircraft, and Command and Control centers worldwide at the unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) levels.
November 2009 –
Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake CA NDTI wins Advanced Weapon Products Acquisition Contract (AWPAC)
NDTI was awarded a contract to provide rapid delivery of manufactured products to NAWCWD and its subsequent customers. Specific technology commodities that will be included under this contract include: electronic components and systems, mechanical components and systems, energetic materials and components, chemical materials and components and plating/painting/finishing.
November 2009 –
Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), Port Hueneme, CA - NDTI is awarded the Activity Customer Technical Representative (ACTR) Support Contract
NDTI was awarded a contract to provide contractor support services for the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) ACTR at NSWC PHD. NDTI provides coordination of the acquisition and execution and implementation of NMCI Support Services on behalf of NAVSEA Civilian, Military and Contractor personnel.
The Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) provides the Department of the Navy (DoN) with a full range of network-based information services on a single, enterprisewide intranet. The Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) is the first-of-its-kind approach to information services consolidation, technology standardization and enterprise-wide oversight of network operations in the Department of Defense. NMCI is far more than just a network for the Navy and the Marine Corps—it is a unified, stable and secure IT platform that supports broader strategic objectives and advances the Navy’s transition to a net-centric environment.
Every day, more than 700,000 Sailors, Marines, and civilians rely on NMCI for their PCs and laptops, for their mobile wireless solutions such as Blackberries and wireless cards, and for the security and support their missions require.

New Directions Technologies, Inc. has been awarded a Master Ordering Agreement (MOA) from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under the agency’s Electronic FAA Accelerated and Simplified Tasks (eFAST) program as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)
eFAST is a small business set aside program for MOA holders. The combined total ceiling amount for all MOAs under eFAST is $2 billion for a 7 year period. eFAST is the FAA’s preferred acquisition vehicle for fulfilling its Small Business goals. NDTI is qualified and eligible to participate in procurements supporting the following functional areas: Air Transportation Support (ATS),Business Administration & Management (BAM), Engineering Services (ES), Computer/Information Systems Development (CSD),Computer Systems Support (CSS), Documentation & Training (D&T) and Maintenance & Repair (M&R).
September 2009 – Washington D. C.: Department of Homeland Security wins Follow-On work to IT Support Services Contracts
NDTI was successfully awarded the Business Processing Re-Engineering Support Services and .NET Application Development and Share Point Administration Support Contracts with the Department of Homeland Security. NDTI continues to provide a full spectrum information technology technical solutions and products which include: Custom Computer Programming, Computer Systems Design, Documentation, Training, User Support and Facilities Management Services to the Department of Homeland Security.
June 2009 – Team Jacobs Wins the Engineering Support Services (ESS) Contract
NDTI is a proud member of the Jacobs Technology NSG team that was awarded a contract to provide systems engineering, test and evaluation, technical data and management support for the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD). NAWCWD, located at China Lake and Point Mugu, California, is the Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, and in-service engineering center for weapons systems.
The contract, effective July 1, 2009, has a value of $170.6 million over a five-year period.

NAVAIR Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland
New Directions Technologies, Inc. is awarded the Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set Aside Contract to provide PMA-205 Program Management Support Services
NDTI was awarded a contract to provide program management support for PMA-205 at Patuxent River, MD. The NDTI Team will support weapon systems Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) through all phases of naval aircraft acquisition, including research, design, development, and engineering; procurement; test and evaluation (T&E); training facilities and equipment support; repair and modification; and in-service engineering and logistics support. The NDTI Team includes General Dynamics Information Technology, Don Selvy Enterprises, Inc., Intelligent Decision Systems, Inc. and AKTA, Inc.

Cerro Coso College Receives Local Funding For New Engineering Program
Cerro Coso Community College is pleased to announce the establishment of a two-year pre-engineering program for both mechanical and electrical engineering students. This engineering program was developed in consultation with an advisory committee of China Lake Naval personnel, Cerro Coso faculty and administration, Sierra Sands School District faculty and administration, and California State University representatives. This program has been articulated with both the University of California and California State University systems for transfer.
Demonstrating their support for this new program, Jacobs Technology, DCS Corporation, New Directions Technologies, Inc. (NDTI) and Systems Application and Technologies (SA-TECH) have joined together to sponsor the 2009 Engineering courses by “adopting” engineering classes at Cerro Coso. Their collective donation of $20,000 will cover the cost of adjunct instructors for the next four courses, thus guaranteeing that they will remain in the schedule. “This partnership is a marvelous example of local business stepping up to help provide for their own future and for the futures of our young people” stated Cerro Coso President, Dr. Mary Retterer.
Dale Gates (Jacobs), Chuck Faris (DCS), Cedric Knight (NDTI) and Geoff DeZavala (SA-TECH) have all expressed their commitment to the College and community by continuing to support this Engineering program in the hope that it will increase the applicant pools for engineering positions throughout the Indian Wells Valley.

January 2009 –
NDTI welcomes Bobby Moore on board as our new Vice President in charge of Business Development and East Coast Operations.
Bobby Moore joined New Directions Technologies as Vice President in the Lexington Park, Maryland office on January 5, 2009. His initial focus is on enhancing East Coast operations, refining NDTI’s strategic plan, and business development processes and procedures. Bobby is a retired Marine Corps officer with extensive experience in managing complex operations and leading high performance teams on active duty and in small and large companies. His acquisition and logistics background coupled with academic studies of business, leadership, and organizational change are key enablers for meeting present and future business challenges. He has served successfully as Program Manager, Area Director, Business Unit Director, and Vice President in several companies over the past 13 years supporting DoD and federal agencies.

Naval Air Warfare Center, China Lake CA – General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) wins Information Fusion Technologies R&D Analysis multiple-award!
The GDAIS team is one of two teams awarded contracts to further the research and development (R&D) of Information Fusion at NAVAIR WD. The 5-year ID/IQ contract effort is for research and development (R&D) of Information Fusion technologies and analysis in support of the Information Fusion Center (IFC) at NAVAIR WD China Lake and information fusion activities for the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security. NDTI is pleased to be a subcontractor on the GDAIS team in support of information fusion for NAWCWD.

TEAM Jacobs wins the Scientific, Technical, Administrative, and Research Development, Test and Evaluation Services Contract!
NDTI is proud to be a part of TEAM Jacobs as a subcontractor on the Scientific, Technical, Administrative, and Research Development, Test and Evaluation Services (STARS) contract in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) China Lake, CA. TEAM Jacobs will provide scientific and technical support services for the NAWCWD Information Technology/Information Management Department and various other NAWCWD organizations at China Lake and Point Mugu, CA. STARS is a 5-year contract commencing in August 2008. STARS is one of NAWCWD’s largest support services contracts with the potential of 250 information technology contractor support positions.

Dynamic Research Corporation LMSS Win!
NDTI teamed with DRC as a subcontractor to provide professional, administrative and management support services on LMSS -The Logistics, Maintenance and Supply Support Multiple Award Contract in support of NAVAIR, Air Force Materiel Command, Naval Aviation Depots and Air Logistics Center organizations.
The management initiatives under the LMSS award include: acquisition management, project management, contract and fund management, contracts planning and execution, risk management, system engineering, configuration management, technical management, requirements management, data conversion/migration, testing and evaluation, software configuration management, training , change management, software/systems management, portfolio management, web support, information assurance, benchmarking, data warehouse support, concept of operations development, business process analysis and strategic business planning.

NDTI is one of 19 subcontractors supporting ManTech on this effort:
ManTech Systems Engineering Corp won a five year effort to support Warfare Analysis for Naval Air Systems Command, Code AIR 4.10. The Warfare Analysis and Integration Department is led by Leslie Taylor, Director and Dave Brindeiro, Deputy Director. The new contract increases in scope a previous Warfare Analysis contract that ManTech won in December 2004. The new contract, managed at ManTech by Greg Reuss, has additional requirements and an expanded scope of work. The contract is valued at up to $83 million. AIR 4.10 annually supports 20 PMAs, OPNAV, Marine Corp, and the Fleet
Under the new contract, the team will provide analytical products and services to the Aircraft Division Warfare Analysis Department of the Naval Air Warfare Center. Key technical support will be provided by warfare analysis and assessments, advanced concept development and design, acquisition analysis and support, simulation based acquisition, modeling and simulation, network/warfare modeling and simulation, Naval Aviation Enterprise Warfare Analysis Environment support, software development, systems engineering and integration, operational suitability and scenarios, Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), feasibility studies, financial analysis and programmatic analysis support. The work will be performed at NAVAIR facilities in Patuxent River, MD, Ridgecrest, CA, and Arlington, VA, along with other locations.

CONGRATULATIONS!! PHD WINS THE GOLD!!!-
The California Award for Performance Excellence is administered by the California Council for Excellence to assist California organizations in all sectors continuously improve through a performance excellence program based on the criteria of the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award. In January of 2008, the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) was notified of its recognition as a Gold award winner, the highest level of achievement. The criteria for the award are systemic in nature and require evaluation of the organization's 1) Leadership, 2) Strategic Planning, 3)Customer and Market Focus, 4) Measurement, Analysis and Knowledge Management, 5) Workforce Focus, 6) Process Management, and 7) Business Results.
NDTI provides Information Technology Support to the NSWC PHD. Much of the upfront requirements definition performed by the company in the performance of work involves the development of strategies, processes, and systems to align the organization with it's Mission, Vision, and Goals. For example, the performance measuring dashboard's being developed by NDTI serve as the mechanism in which performance measurement and benchmarking occurs for the organization's pursuit of excellence. Further, the company's development and support of the NSWC PHD portal as a standard environment for aligning and leveraging information systems and resources, and process execution is the centerpiece to the Command's approach to implementing Knowledge Management. As a result, we celebrate NSWC PHD's recent recognition and success and are proud of our modest contribution.

Congratulations to “Team One” headed by prime contractor General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) which was recently awarded a contract to support NAVAIR’s Information Technology /Information Management Department. NDTI will play a crucial role as a “Team One” subcontractor to GDIT providing various computer support services. The term of the contract is a base year and (4) 1- year option periods.
